08-06-06 Hello all. If you havent heard by now, Im back in Hawaii. Just wanted everyone to know that Im fine and doing well. I have been spending my days surfing and reconnecting with friends, family, and Hawaii. To my Israeli friends and family, I love and miss you. If you have not heard from me it does not mean that you are not in my thoughts. Ill add some pictures from hawaii when I get a chance to work with a faster computer. Until then just know that I am using the time wisely to gain perspective and evaluate my goals and direction in life. Though I am happy to be home I can honestly say that this is not an easy time for me. I will work through this necessary step in time while surfing and spending time under the Hawaiian sun.

Everything is OK

07-16-06 Im sure a lot of you have been tuning into CNN and are now concerned for our safety. This post is to ease everyone’s worries and to let you know that we are well informed and above all safe here in Tel Aviv. There is no reason to worry. Our eyes and ears are open and I believe everyone has faith in our decision making skills, we will be fine .

The only thing that I can report, first hand, is the increased number of helicopters flying overhead. Yesterday at the beach we witnessed supply, troop, and attack helicopters as well as a couple jets returning from the north. As they flew by the mood remained upbeat amongst the beach goers. Here on the radio there are news updates whenever there is any breaking news, and as always there is news on the hour, every hour. Despite the trouble up north things are carrying on as normal here in Tel Aviv. There is noisey road contruction on my street, people are sitting at cafes, ziv is at work, I have a hebrew lesson, doctors appointment then a date with the gym. Tonight Ziv and I are going SOUTH to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants.

Hello everyone. Just want to let you know that everything is ok. There has been a little bit of action of here in small israel, but I have to say that Im used to it. Every couple of years we have something interesting going on. But as someone that had lived in Israel for 28 years and has served in the Army, I can tell you that we know what we are doing. Tel Aviv is far away from everything… and at this point there is nothing to be worried about. And Ill keep your Mikey safe. If you want to ask us something, just leave a comment.

07-13-06 Just a post to keep everyone posted…. did I say post enough in this post? The first group of pictures were taken at Inbar’s (Ziv’s sister) surprise birthday party. It was just Ziv’s parents and us as we set up for around 20 Israeli children.
